今日は「もりのなか」と「また もりへ」の2冊の絵本の登場です。（マリー・ホール・エッツ著）
グリム幻想紀行の中より小沢俊夫さんの素敵な文章です。
森の静寂、そのなかで夢想する孤独なる魂。そこではあらゆることが夢のなかの姿のようにうかんだことでしょう。人生の夜明けにたっている子どもたちは、いつの世でもそれに似た夢のなかに生きているのです。子どもはお話を聞くと、あらゆることを空想してみせます。それは合理的思考に慣れた大人には到底理解できるものではありません。メルへェンはそうした子どもの空想に合致した語り方をしています。それが口伝えであるメルへェンの強みです。メルへェンでは、合理的に考えたら不可能なことが次つぎに起きます。夢のなかに生きている子どもたちには、それであたりまえなのです。もし子どもメルへェンを合理的にしか読まなくなったら、それはおそろしい世界になるでしょう。
メルへェンは長時間かけて起こる目立たない変化を、短いストーリーで、明瞭な変化としてみせてくれる。
きのこが童話に登場するのには、こんな訳もあったのですね。
マリー・ホール・エッツさんは幼少の頃森であそんだ記憶をもとにこの絵本を書かれたそうです、絵本は幼い人が触れる初めての文化の世界それは音楽の森・文学の森・絵の森・・・たのしい森へとつづいているみたいです。
きのこはきっとその森からの贈り物なのです。ってそんなことを本気で言ってしまいたくなる素晴らしい森がこの絵本の中にあります。
