奇病日記　１１月１５日

私はそのきのこさんに知らせたかった。分解者のつくる輪ができたことを、そしてどうして分解者であることが分かったか聞いてみよう、そんなことを考えていた。

そのきのこさんは知ってか知らずか店にやってきた。輪ができたことを告げるとそのきのこさんはニッコリ笑った。
どこで分解者であるか分かったのか尋ねてみた、そのきのこさんは私の手元をじっと見つめた、どうも腕時計を見ているようだった、私の腕時計は放射線状に虹色に区切られている腕時計だった、旅行に行った際どうしても欲しくなって手に入れたものだ、そのきのこさんはゲラゲラ笑いだした、バレバレじゃないかと言って大笑いしている。虹のどこが分解者なのか聞いてみた、そのきのこさんは虹は、まだ見ぬ世界に行こうよって公言しているようなものだと笑いながら言った。訳が分からずポカンとしていると、この時計に吸い寄せられるように出遭えたでしょと言い、虹はミラクルアイテムのひとつだと言い、ミラクルアイテムのことをもう少し説明しておこうと言った。ミラクルアイテムは出遭えるようになっているもので、ミラクルアイテムと人間は互いに呼び合うようになっているので出遭えるんだ、人間にはこの響きあう感覚を誰でも持っているが、この感覚が一番強く残っているのが分解者なんだと誇らしげに言い、きのことミラクルアイテムには時間を戻す作用があるらしい、これは大発見だと言い、コーヒーを左手で回し始めた。左利きだからなのか調子が狂う、そのきのこさんはミルクをコーヒーにポトリと入れた、ミルクのつくるうずまきを見つめながら、きのこが世界の中心だと言った。前にもこんなことがあった様な気がした、時計とは反対にまわるうずまきをぼんやり眺めている私に向って、そのきのこさんはきのこが世界の中心だと３回繰り返した。　

そのきのこさんは、急になぞなぞだと言って、たんすのうしろにもあって、本棚にもあって、スケジュールにもあるものなんだ？と言い、あっ！心細いとき迷っているときにもあるものなんだ？と付けたし帰って行った。　またまた私を惑わすつもりらしい、その手にはのらないぞと思いながら、いつしか答えを探しはじめていた。

店の後片付けを終え、電気を消した、店はいつもより明るかった、なぜだろうと窓の方を見ると月の明かりが、きっちり閉めたはずの戸の隙間から射していた、あっ！！！隙間だ、そうだ隙間だ、あまりにもすぐ答えが出たことに拍子抜けしながら、妙に明るい楕円形の月を眺めていた。だけど隙間がどうしたというんだろう？？？余計に気になってしまっている自分にもう笑うしかなかった。
